An Invitation to Display AMA Images Exhibit
The Association for Manitoba Archives Images Exhibit has been displayed in various locations within Manitoba since 2010. Recently we received a request from a gallery in Alberta to show this exhibit in 2013.
Before it leaves the province we would like to offer you the opportunity to show this outstanding collection of photos, for your community to enjoy. This collection of 28 photographic images of early recreation is from all across Manitoba, and date from the settlement years to the early 1950s.
This exhibit was a cooperative project of the Rural and Northern Archives Manitoba with eleven archives contributing from their photograph collections. It was curated by photographer Lorne Coulson, whose artist's statement can be found in the attachment, along with a sample photograph.
The AMA will assist with shipping and if desired, can suggest a guest speaker for the opening event of the exhibit.
