Education and Advisory Services Committee

The Education and Advisory Services Committee mandate is threefold. First, it is to advise the Board of Directors on matters relating to the advisory service policies and activities of the AMA, including:

  • Support and encourage the development of sustainable archives in Manitoba
  • Provide advisory services to jurisdictions considering starting up an archival program
  • Promote the self-study program
  • Monitor needs and chart responses
  • Advise archival organizations working to improve structural and physical conditions, procedures and practices.

Second, it is to advise the Board of Directors on matters relating to the education policies and activities of the AMA, including:

  • Survey membership needs
  • Plan workshops, forums, seminars, mentoring programs and such activities as required

Third, it is to network with other communities and other like minded organizations to foster concerted actions.

The 2011-2012 Education and Advisory Services Committee is:
